Our Story
In 1979, T.A. Excavating Ltd. started operation with one piece of equipment, mixed with humble family values and a heart full of determination! After decades of dedication and hard work, the business has grown into what it is today, a successful family owned and operated turn-key operation that has maintained the majority of its original customers for 40+ years. Although mainly a utility placement contractor, through the diverse company owned equipment base, T.A. Excavating Ltd. has grown to provide multiple earthwork services to the local sectors of Water/Sewer, Gas, Fiber, and Electrical.
The management staff have over 100 years of experience in the placement of direct buried cable and multi-duct, HDPE, PVC and steel pipe for all utility types. T.A. Excavating Ltd. has assembled a most impressive complement of tradesmen and highly experienced personnel which includes a variety of expert supervisors, experienced equipment operators, journeyman and apprentice power lineman, qualified gas fusers and telecommunications infrastructure specialists.
Our wide range of experience and labor pool with up to 40 employees or more, in a given year, makes no job too big or too small.
Our team consists of on-site management, hydro vac-excavation, directional boring, plowing and trenching for the placement of pipe, cables/vaults, culverts, fencing, etc. and all required earthworks. About
SAFETY PROGRAM
T.A. Excavating Ltd. has held a Certificate of Recognition (COR) since 1996, when the program was still relatively new in Alberta. Every year since then, we have retained our certificate in good standing and a full-time safety officer/auditor on staff.
All employees have training, updated regularly as per our policy, including but not limited to: First Aid, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, CSTS and other safety related training as required.

T.A.
